Penn Jillette

St. Martin’s Griffin

I don’t have much to say about Sock.  It’s Penn Jillette being Penn Jillette, and in 2012, most people probably already know the precise degree to which they will enjoy that.

But about 3/4 of the way through the book, he threw in his own version of the Proust Questionnaire.  I’d seen this before, but Jillette’s version is a little different, and I like it.  I’ve been using my journal a bit more, lately.  It’s a way to process what I’m thinking and make sense of my feelings.  I couldn’t help thinking that it might be interesting to use some of the questions, from time to time, as starting points for reflective writing.  So I’m putting them here, for myself, and anyone else who wants them.

  2. What is your greatest fear?
  3. What is your idea of perfect happiness?
  4. Which historical figure do you most identify with?
